Everyone is Your Neighbor

After the dedication of our chapel this past Sunday by Most Reverend Bp. Mark A. Pivarunas, CMRI, Fr. Sandquist offered a High Mass for the feast of Our Lady’s Visitation. The Congregation Mater Dei Sisters sang for the dedication and the Mass.

Bp. Pivarunas delivered the sermon on charity that is embedded above. His Excellency is a wonderful storyteller and in this talk he pulls together a story from 1999 and one from this year to illustrate the lesson that everyone is our neighbor.

Bp. Pivarunas to Dedicate Our Chapel

And 15 Sisters from Congregation Mater Dei in Persia, Iowa, will attend!

This Sunday, July 2, 2023, Most Reverend Bishop Mark A. Pivarunas, CMRI, will bless our chapel. The ceremonies will begin at 2 pm, and Mass will follow immediately afterward. A potluck reception will be held in the hall.

Noon Mass Tomorrow

Set your reminders now so you don’t miss Mass. Fr. Sandquist has a third chapel to cover tomorrow, so Mass in Chelsea will be at Noon.

Additionally, three Congregation Mater Dei Sisters will be visiting and will teach catechism to the children. The Sisters always sing during Mass when they come, so that will be another blessing.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and especially to all the priests who sacrifice so much for us!

Invest in Boys with Summer Camp

This could be a life-changing experience for a boy you know.

The St. John Bosco Catholic summer camp in NE Ohio will be held July 23-29. Boys from age 9 to 18 can come; younger if accompanied with a dad or guardian. Please note there is a registration deadline this year: June 15th. Email for more information and registration forms.

Grandparents, this is a great gift-giving opportunity–Christmas in July or however you want to frame it–whether you pay the fees or help with transportation or both.
