January 1st is a holy day of obligation for the Feast of the Circumcision. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Spencer, OK, will have Mass at 8 am; Our Lady of Fatima in Chelsea, OK, will have Mass at Noon.

Beginning this Sunday, a new Mass schedule is being trialed that will allow Spencer and Chelsea to have permanent Mass times of 8 and Noon respectively. Previously, one Sunday each month had a different schedule to accommodate Fr. Sandquist offering a third Mass in Kansas.
For Sunday, August 24th, Fr. Sandquist’s missions will have mass at the following times:
Halstead, KS – 8:00 am
Spencer, OK – 1:30 pm
Chelsea, OK – 6:00 pm

The beautiful downshift from Christmas to Lent begins tomorrow with the season of Septuagesima.
Reminder of a schedule shift for this Sunday, Jan. 27, 2024:
Spencer, OK, Mass will be at 1 pm
Chelsea, OK, Mass will be at 6 pm.
After the dedication of our chapel this past Sunday by Most Reverend Bp. Mark A. Pivarunas, CMRI, Fr. Sandquist offered a High Mass for the feast of Our Lady’s Visitation. The Congregation Mater Dei Sisters sang for the dedication and the Mass.
Bp. Pivarunas delivered the sermon on charity that is embedded above. His Excellency is a wonderful storyteller and in this talk he pulls together a story from 1999 and one from this year to illustrate the lesson that everyone is our neighbor.
